Rie Bosman (1951) is assistant professor in sociology of education. In addition she is Secretary Research at the Interuniversity Center for Social Science Theory and Methodology ICS. In 1993 she received her PhD from the University of Groningen with a study into the school careers of children growing up in one-parent families ("Opvoeden in je eentje").
